You are repeating other people what has allready been said and your firstg post does not indicate you know much. Stop missinforming, and maybe read what has been posted plz, then u would not have to missinform in the first place. This glacier wall is really hard to cut though has it is buggy and u need to be on a more or less certain spot infront of it to effectively cut it.
So if u encounter that wall, that means u CAN actually cut it.
The glacier wall can only be entered from the one side at all, because it is a dead end cave inside. Talking like that is missinforming, as it makes it look like there would be only 1 wall. I encountered two: One in an glacier next to the surface ice area, and one on the surface (that is the one u are talking about, it is supposed to be a shortcut, hence only 1 sided). There is more then only 1 wall like this in the game.
It does only cut from one side, however it's not a bug, it's a silly design decision to stop the player going from the outside in, you have to find your way to it from the inside, it's a silly decision because your using a laser to "melt" ice, it's all ice!
